Integrating Traditional Therapy, Sandplay and Art Therapy
Having worked in a variety of mental health settings for many years, I have grown passionate about the tremendous value and effectiveness of blending art and sandplay therapies with traditional psychotherapy.
I draw on a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. I work with each client to help them build on their strengths to identify and achieve life goals.
People who feel stuck in particular life patterns, or whose issues are shame-based or non-verbal often experience shifts and movement when non-verbal therapies are integrated with traditional 'talk' therapy. This approach may be able to help you reconcile emotions, reduce anxiety, facilitate skill-building and develop your problem-solving abilities.
Please see the Art Therapy and Sandplay web pages for more information.
Office Setting
The distinctive layout of my office includes a quiet talk therapy room, a sandplay room and an art workroom large enough for therapy groups. This configuration offers options for your therapy experience to be stimulating and enriching as well as calming and nurturing.
